Russia’s overdue loans rise 48% to 1.15 tln rbl in 2015
MOSCOW, Jan 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s overdue loans increased 48% to 1.15 trillion rubles in 2015, as seen by PRIME in data of United Credit Bureau on Thursday.
The number of overdue loans rose 9% to 12.6 million. The number of non-performing loans with no principal or interest payments within 90 days rose 23% to 9.5 million.
The share of non-performing assets in the total number of Russian loans stood at 12.5% at the year-end of 2015.
The number of overdue mortgage loans fell 3% to 82,000, and their share in banks’ mortgage portfolio stood at 3.2%.
The total volume of overdue mortgage loans rose 58% to 132 billion rubles in 2015 on the back of ruble devaluation, although the share of mortgage loans in foreign currency accounts for a mere 1% of banks’ mortgage portfolio.
Overdue cash loans increased 48% to 709 billion rubles and the share of such loans in the total portfolio of cash loans stood at 16.6% in 2015.
Overdue credit card loans surged 54% to 242 billion rubles and their share in credit card loan portfolio amounted to 26% in the period.
Overdue car loans rose 27% to 68 billion rubles and accounted for 12.7% of the total car loan portfolio.
